About the Library
Woolfolk Public Library opened at its current location in 2001 and is named after Margaret E. Woolfolk, attorney, journalist, historian, and author. Since opening, the library has continued to grow and expand its offerings. We are excited about recent growth and new opportunities to further meet our patrons’ needs.
Currently, Woolfolk Public Library has approximately 42,000 items in circulation and 15,317 registered readers! Materials and services are varied and available for patrons of all ages. Materials include: fiction; non-fiction; large type fiction and non-fiction; biographies; cookbooks; audio books; magazines; eBooks; and much more.
Our Home Bound Delivery Program is available to bring materials to patrons that live alone and are unable to visit the library. If you are permanently disabled or homebound, recovering from surgery, illness, injury or are on required bed rest, you can sign-up to be in the program long term or just temporarily. This is limited to those within Marion city limits.
Need access to the internet? We have twelve computers available for public use for filling out job applications, creating resumes, completing school projects, checking your email, etc.
Did you know that on a monthly basis an average of:
3,000 items circulate
1,325 patrons use our computers
3,500 people walk through the door
60 children come to Story Hour
